The Network has over 500 members, working in 18 different countries in the Horn, East and Southern Africa to build a just and violence-free world for women. These strong members are drawn from organizations, individuals, academicians and activists who come from rural and urban areas, community-based organizations and academic institutions. The people who make up the Network believe that violence is an injustice and that they have the power and responsibility to prevent it!
The GBV Prevention Network works to increase momentum for violence against women (VAW) prevention by strengthening analysis, building connections and taking action to prevent VAW.
They are a global alliance made up of dozens of country networks spread across many regions of the world, hundreds of non-governmental organizations, as well as UN partners.
MenEngage members work collectively and individually towards advancing gender justice, human rights and social justice to achieve a world in which all can enjoy healthy, fulfilling and equitable relationships and their full potential.
Through our country-level and regional networks, MenEngage seeks to provide a collective voice on the need to engage men and boys in gender equality, to build and improve the field of practice around engaging men in achieving gender justice, and advocating before policymakers at the local, national, regional and international levels.
